Eligibility Guidelines
Grades Are
The First
Gatekeeper.
You can run a 4.4 forty, but if you don’t pass the Eligibility Center, you can’t play. It’s that simple.
NCAA Eligibility Standards
To Qualify for a Scholarship
To compete in your first year, you must meet the academic benchmarks for your target division. D1 and D2 each have distinct course and GPA requirements — and the differences matter.
Division 1 (FBS/FCS)
You must complete 10 of these before your senior year (“10/7 Rule”). Those grades are locked in permanently.
| 4 Yrs | English |
| 3 Yrs | Math (Algebra 1+) |
| 2 Yrs | Natural / Physical Science |
| 1 Yr | Add’l English / Math / Science |
| 2 Yrs | Social Science |
| 4 Yrs | Additional (Any of above + Foreign Lang) |
Division 2
Note the difference in Math / English requirements compared to D1. D2 offers more flexibility but still requires Eligibility Center registration.

NCAA Division 3
Academics handled by the school’s admissions office, not the NCAA.
